Props

A selection of props I have made for various productions and events

Latex mask made from clay mould- Made as part of Prop Making Course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The raccoon’s face was made out of clay then covered in plaster mould. The clay was scrapped out and latex poured in to make the mask. This technique was very useful to learn for future prop making where 1 or 2 part moulds will be used to repeatedly make items.
Wooden Stool made during a Prop Making Course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Through making this stool I learnt many skills in carpentry – wood cutting, joint making, engraving, bevelling edges and construction.
Clay pipes made for a production of “Blackadder II” – materials clay and wooden chopstick. The clay was moulded around the chopstick for durability while the props were held and handled by cast throughout scenes.

Graphic design- in Curious Incident Christopher is given three children’s books with the title “One Hundred Number Puzzles” “The Origins of the Universe2 and “Nuclear Power”. With some research I saw we would have trouble finding books with these exact titles, and as the script is very exact about details like this, I decided the best thing would be to design the covers myself and re-cover second hand children’s books with my designs. The book covers were made on Canva using a mix of pre-existing templates and my own input.
